4. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred. not only physical death.. but also that spiritual death which is separation from God: and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and, in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought. word and deed. Romans 6:23; Isaiah 59:2; Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 5:12.
5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitution (our sacrifice); and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. 1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21; John 3:17; 1 Peter 2:24.

8. We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ was begun at Pentecost; is composed solely of believers (Acts 2:41,47); and is the Body and Bride of our Lord and is distinct from Israel. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 2:19-22.
9. We believe in the personal, imminent, and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth. First coming for the believers (Acts 1:10-11; Titus 2:13; Philippians 3:20; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). 11. We believe that Satan, a fallen angel (Ezekiel 28:12-19;Isaiah 14:12-14; Jude 1:6), is the god of this age; (John 14:30) the adversary of Christ and His Church (Revelation l2:9,l0); and that his destiny is eternal punishment. (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10) . Believers are to resist him. 1 Peter 5:8,9; James 4:7.
Church Covenant
Having been born again by the grace of God through faith in the Lord Jesus. Christ, and being justified on the ground of His shed blood and having confessed our faith before men, we do now in the presence of God and this assembly, most soleumly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ
We engage therefore, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the Lord's work.
We also engage to maintain family and private devotions; to educate our children in the Word of His Grace and to seek the Salvation of oor kindred and acquaintances.
We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; and to aid each other in sickness and distress.
We engage, too, by the grace and power of God, that as strangers and pilgrims (1 Peter 2:11) we will abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul; that we will put away from us all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, and be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven us-. Ephesians 4:31-32; Colossians 3:8,9).
